The Rhodes Scholarship for Canada (Fully funded), 2025-2026

The application call for the 2025-2026 Rhodes Scholarship for Canada program will be received from June 1, 2025. The scholarship program was created in 1903 and is seen as the oldest international scholarship program in the world. The program is administered by the Rhodes Trust in Oxford and offers 100 fully funded scholarships each year for postgraduate study at the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom.

Up to eleven scholarships will be awarded to master’s and PhD students through the Canada program. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to a social engagement and a final interview. You must be available to attend both in person, as no accommodation can be made on the date and time, or the mode, of these events. Final interviews will be held across Canada in November. No candidate will be selected without an interview. All applicants will be emailed with the outcome of their application.

Seen as the oldest university in the English-speaking world, Oxford is a unique and historic institution. There is no clear date of foundation, but teaching existed at Oxford in some form by 1096 and developed rapidly from 1167 when Henry II banned English students from attending the University of Paris. The University of Oxford is a collegiate research university in Oxford, England. The university hosts more than 24,000 students, including 11,955 undergraduates and 12,010 postgraduates, with 45% of the total student body being international students. Oxford constantly ranked among the world’s top universities and has received first place in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings for the last years.
