Are you a rising peacebuilder from Asia or the Pacific? The Asia Foundation is now accepting applications for the fully funded 2025 William P. Fuller Fellowship in Peacebuilding, a transformative opportunity designed to support the next generation of leaders working to build peace and resolve conflict across the region.

What is the William P. Fuller Fellowship in Peacebuilding?

Since its founding in 2004, the Fuller Fellowship has honored the legacy of William P. Fuller, a former president of The Asia Foundation, by equipping early- and mid-career professionals with the tools, knowledge, and networks to advance peace in their communities.

In 2025, three fellows from the Asia-Pacific region will be selected for this fully funded fellowship program that combines global exposure, professional development, and hands-on learning.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Age: 40 years old or younger (born after October 13, 1985)

  • Citizenship: Must be from one of the following countries or regions:
    Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pacific Islands, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Timor-Leste, or Vietnam

  • Experience: At least three years of relevant professional experience

  • Language: Proficient in written and spoken English

  • Commitment: Available to participate in the U.S. program (October 13–24, 2025) and complete a self-directed project

  • Visa: Able to secure a U.S. travel visa
