Applications are open for the Einstein Fellowship in Germany. The Einstein Forum and the Wittenstein Foundation are proud to announce a new call for applications to their fellowship program for young, ambitious thinkers who are interested in pursuing a project in a field different from their previous research. This fellowship is designed to support individuals who, in addition to excelling in their current field of specialization, are also open to exploring new and interdisciplinary approaches to their work, much like the renowned Albert Einstein.
The fellowship period will conclude with a public lecture presented by the fellow at both the Einstein Forum and the Wittenstein Foundation. It is important to note that the Einstein Fellowship is not intended for applicants who want to finish a study they have already started. To be eligible for the fellowship, the application must show that the proposed project is of high quality, innovative, and viable and that the applicant has advanced intellectual abilities. It doesn’t matter whether the applicant has begun working towards, or currently holds, a PhD. The fellowship does not require the proposed project to be fully completed during the grant period; it can be used as a starting point for a larger project.

Einstein Fellowship Program Benefits
This Europe opportunity will provide successful applicants with the following benefits:
- living accommodations for five to six months in the garden cottage of Einstein’s own summerhouse in Caputh, Brandenburg;
- The fellow will receive a stipend of EUR 10,000 and;
- reimbursement of travel expenses.
Einstein Fellowship Program Eligibility
To apply for the Albert Einstein Fellowship, applicants must meet the criteria below:
- Candidates must be under 35 and hold a university degree in the humanities, social sciences, or natural sciences;
- A successful application must demonstrate the quality, originality, and feasibility of the proposed project, as well as the superior intellectual development of the applicant;
- It is not relevant whether the applicant has begun working towards, or currently holds, a PhD;
- The proposed project need not be entirely completed during the time of the fellowship but can be the beginning of a longer project.
