CLIC Agrifood Investment Connector 2025 – Funding Support Program for Climate-Positive Agri-SMEs in Sub-Saharan Africa
The ClimateShot Investor Coalition (CLIC) is now accepting applications for its 2025 Agrifood Investment Connector program targeting Sub-Saharan African agri-SMEs. This opportunity supports early- and growth-stage enterprises working across the agrifood value chain with measurable climate and nature-positive practices by helping them attract commercial capital and connect directly with debt and equity investors.
About the Program and CLIC
The Agrifood Investment Connector is a flagship initiative of CLIC that helps agri-SMEs become investment-ready and gain exposure to aligned capital providers.
CLIC—the ClimateShot Investor Coalition—is a global platform dedicated to unlocking finance for low-carbon, climate-resilient, and nature-positive agriculture and food systems. It works across emerging markets and developing economies to support climate-smart enterprises and build stronger pathways between impactful agri-SMEs and investors.
Through this program, selected businesses receive:

A customized climate and nature impact assessment report

An investor-ready pitch deck with integrated sustainability metrics

A business profile tailored for outreach to financiers
Participants also benefit from:

Direct, one-on-one introductions to debt and equity investors

Access to virtual and in-person pitch opportunities

Expert guidance on investor engagement, communications, and due diligence

Personalized support through the capital-raising journey
Who Should Apply
This program is ideal for agri-SMEs that:

Are ready to scale, with proven business models and clear growth potential
-
Are transitioning from grant funding to equity or debt capital
-
Have measurable or emerging climate and nature-positive impact, and need help quantifying and presenting it to investors
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:

Be a legally incorporated for-profit enterprise based in Sub-Saharan Africa

Operate in the agriculture or food systems sector
-
Be post-revenue, with a minimum of two years of operation and one year of audited financial statements
-
Be actively raising commercial capital, with or without grants included
-
Be implementing or planning to implement climate- or nature-positive practices
-
Have a management team of at least two members, including one who will serve as the primary point of contact
Program Timeline
The 2025 Connector cohort will follow these phases:

May – Onboarding and Business Review

June–August – Impact Assessment & Investor Materials Preparation

September – Pitch Event and In-Person Networking

October onward – Continued Support via CLIC Alumni Network
